Summary
BRSP is implementing National Poverty Graduation Programme (NPGP) in district Zhob with the financial support of International Fund for Agricultural Development and Government of Pakistan from June 2020 to December 2023. In 2022, Poverty Alleviation and Social Safety (PASS) Division took over the programme from PPAF as a result of strategic level changes and is now directly managing NPGP with the implementing partners. The programme is designed to catalyse change at the grassroots to uplift the poorest households from poverty and set them on a course of economic and social prosperity through tried and tested poverty graduation approach comprising elements of social mobilisation, livelihoods development and financial inclusion. It draws upon the most relevant aspects to deliver results by combining support for immediate needs with longer-term human capital and asset investments to move households out of extreme poverty and sustainable livelihoods.
