Summary

BRSP with the financial support of UNFPA successfully established three health facilities, designed to cater to the specific needs of women and girls who have been victims of Gender-Based Violence (GBV). These facilities are intended to ensure that women and girls residing in refugee camps or communities affected by humanitarian crises, including the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, have access to comprehensive sexual and reproductive health (SRH) services and Gender-Based Violence (GBV) information and support. The main objective of these health spaces is to provide women and girls with a safe and secure environment where they can access a range of SRH and GBV services. The facilities are staffed with trained healthcare professionals and counselors to address the unique needs of women and girls who have experienced physical abuse. These centers are equipped with the necessary medical supplies and equipment to deliver high-quality SRH services including family planning and maternal health services. Through the establishment of these women-friendly health spaces, the BRSP and UNFPA aim to improve the overall health and well-being of women and girls in refugee settings and communities affected by humanitarian crises. By providing access to integrated SRH and GBV services, these facilities play a critical role in addressing the needs of some of the most vulnerable members of our society.
