Restoring Livelihood Opportunities of the flood Affected Households in District Jafferabad

BRSP with the financial support of Rural Support Programme Network (RSPN) has implemented “Restoring Livelihood Opportunities of the flood affected households” project in Union Council Naseerabad District Jafferabad.

Objectives of the project were:

Overall objective: “To contribute in reducing the flood affects and improving quality of life of poor rural communities in one Union Councils of district Jafferabad” 

Specific objective: “To increase income of the flood affected households through capacity building and provision of productive assets”

Major Deliverables of the project included; Village Development Plans VDPs, Identification of the target beneficiaries through Poverty Score Card (PSC) conduction, Livelihood Enhancement Plan Development (LIPs), Capacity building of the communities and assets provision.

During the Project period of the project achievements against the major deliverables of the project are;

  • Village development plans developed in 10 villages of the UC Naseerabad.
  • 242 Ultra/Vulnerable Poor identified through PWR and then PSC was conducted for identified 242 poor HH. Based on the PSC Results 52 beneficiaries were identified as final target group for the project.
  • Livelihood Investment Plans were developed with 52 identified HH individually. 
  • 52 beneficiaries trained on Skill and Enterprise Development Trainings.
  • Asset provided to 52 Ultra/vulnerable beneficiaries.
